Teen Pageant Queen & Artist, Destiny Faith

Destiny, Miss Teen Fresh Face America 2021 is an aspiring teen model who has a love for animals and serving her community.  Destiny is a high school student active in FFA and JROTC.  She participates in community service projects through both of those, thru her various pageantry opportunities and on her own.  Destiny is a sexual assault survivor and witnessed domestic violence at it's worst. She strives to continually bring awareness and let others know they are not alone.

Why do you do what you do?

I enjoy meeting new people and striving for Excellence.  Being able to compete in pageants and be a part of my community I can show others that you can overcome traumas you may have faced, you can manage your anxiety and make a name for yourself.

What are some projects you are currently working on?

Currently I am working on a few projects and will be going live with a couple soon.  I am always working to do what I can for New Hope Animal Rescue.  it's a wonderful organization here in Henderson KY. I always try to share their adoption/found post as well as their fundraiser post. I hope to start volunteering at the shelter in the near future, and have a successful donation fundraiser myself for them in raising pet supplies for the shelter. I'm working on learning how to speak my story on surviving what I have so that I can go forward to help others who have as well.  I will also be working on a few projects to bring awareness to lung cancer.  We lost two members of our family this year to lung cancer and my pappy (maternal grandfather) is currently fighting it as well.  With this being so close to home I want to bring awareness and do what I can to help him as well.

What are your goals for the short-term and long-term ?

Short term is to continue representing my crown to the best of my ability.  Graduate high school while maintaining my grades and climbing the ranks in JROTC.   Long term goals are continuing in my pageant roles, find my footing in the modeling role to help pay for school to become a traveling veterinarian.  I want to be able to take on larger community service roles including setting up rallys bringing domestic violence, sexual assault and lung cancer awareness.

Who or what inspires you?

Dolly Parton is a big inspiration to me.  She has such a huge heart and does so much for her community and others.  So many loose focus when they achieve fame, dolly has always given back and brought awareness to so much.

Besides dolly, my mom.  She was a single mother for years to my three siblings and myself.  She has been thru an incredible amount including and extremely violent relationship and still continues to push forward and do for others.  If she can keep faith after what she's been thru and push forward anyone can.

If you could change anything about your industry, what would it be?

At the moment my industry is high school.  As I strive for a career, high school is my first priority.  Something I would absolutely love to change is the amount of violence in our high schools.  So many students are scared to go to school because of the amount of violence there is.  We need to find a better way to handle these situations and when a school says zero tolerance it needs to be just that.

What do you plan to do once you cross the millionaire mark?

First and foremost, give back to my mom.  She has went without for years and still does to make sure we have.  I would love to be able to give my mom the home she has always dreamed of and a vehicle that she didn't have to worry about breaking down.  Once my mom was taken care of I would start a charity of my own and start the bigger community service projects.
